Neal Poloncarz remembers his childhood listening to games on a portable transistor radio listening to various sportscasters. Furthermore, he was intrigued with the description, anticipation, excitement, pulse & appreciation toward competition.
He began his broadcasting career by obtaining a certificate in broadcasting from The Connecticut School of Broadcasting, in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. On the radio knob, he spent time as an Associate Producer at WVOX-1460-AM, in New Rochelle, NY. It was with the “Voice of the Golden Apple” was where he loved interviewing sports personalities while hosting “Gotham City Sports”. As the conveyor belt rolled, he became a Broadcast Journalist & Camera Operator for Garden State News.
Determined to polish his voice, Neal received training in Singing Lessons followed by Vocal Training and The Alexander Technique. He has broadcast live games in high school, collegiate, or professional contests of Football, Baseball, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Soccer, & Ice Hockey.
A baseball savant, Neal is affiliated with The Society for American Baseball Research (SABR). He is a contributing writer for the Biography Committee. Neal spends countless hours of research, conducting interviews & written comprehensive biographical published articles on people who played or managed in the major leagues, or otherwise made a significant contribution to the sport. Thoe players include: JC Martin, Gus Triandos, Gary Kroll, broadcaster Byrum Saam, & Wayne Twitchell.
On a computer level, Neal works with Adobe Photoshop and Indesign and to learn how to build a successful website. He operates various Audio PC Workstations, interspersed with Microsoft Office Applications, and the Thesis Theme of WordPress.
On a personal level, he exercises and attends Broadway Plays.
